In 2020 there were proposed plans for a drilling site for oil on the Isle of Wight. Which for lots of obvious was mad… Especially considering in 2019 the Isle of Wight was awarded Unesco Biosphere status. We need to be investing in renewable energy and reversing the effects of carbon not lining the pockets of more oily capitalists... I created this illustration to raise awareness of a campaign that gained a lot of traction at the time. The group we callled @dontdrillthewight and they sucessfully won their cause and stopped the proposed plans from taking place!
